New Group Buy??

After the last group buy, I loaned, my mics to around 12 studios aroung the LA area. Now I am constantly being bombarded with "when is the next group buy?" If anyone would like to split the work with me, lets do it! It would be good if someone is to help with this, is a member of several forums. I know I would be getting at least 10 mics.
If someone could handle the first part (taking orders/collecting the funds) I could handle transferring the funds to China, picking up at the port of LA and shipping. Once someone commits, there can't be any bail-outs, as that would really be a wrench in the spokes and mess things up. If I had the time, I would do it all like last time. I learned so much from the last group buy that will save a lot of problems in a future buy. I plan to get some tube ribbons on the next buy, as well as some more tube LDC's
Any thoughts??
 
I don't know if this is the place to posted, but I'd be very interested in buying a mic or two. Tube ribbon... yes.
 
Just a heads up, but the factory in China got so much flack from their "regular" clients about the pending group buy coordinated through Analog Industries that they ultimately backed out of the deal, even after sending an invoice. The deal is still being worked through an existing importer as a one-time thing, but I don't think that we will see any more group buys direct from the factory since they appear to be concerned about antagonizing their primary commercial customers. At least group buys for these mics and that are publicly coordinated through a web site (and thus highly visible) no longer appear to be viable.
 
Interesting. I just sent an E-mail off to my rep in China. Supposedly, after our group buy, at the NAMM show, we clinched a deal for me to be the USA distributer.

Having you as "a" or "the" US distributor may be viewed differently than a one-off group buy deal run through a public web site. I assume NADY and other US importers/branders complained to the factory about the group-buy because they chose not to honor the invoice they sent. Left our guy hanging after he incurred significant expenses coordinating the deal and collecting money. Luckily it looks like it is getting worked out through an existing importer, but it wasn't pretty.
 
I want in! probably 3-4 mics...at least two 'regular' ribbons and one of the tube ones... maybe a dual ribbon...

I just got a reply from China, and they are awaiting our order. If any one wants to organize this, go for it (as I mentioned in the first post)
 
Can you post the prices with shipping incl. please? My friends and I might be interested.

Actually no, the price can not be posted publically, only by E-mail and PM.
It would be nice if someone from the last group buy could help with gettin orders and quoting prices. Everything has to be done via PM or E-mail
I don't have the time now to do this. Does anyone want to step up to the plate?
 
Chance et al - just saw this thread.

I'd be willing to provide the help you request - make pricing quotes, take orders, collect funds and transfer the organized info and dollars to you. Like you, I would not collect an "agents fee" but just do this for the love of mics and for the benefit of this community.

I'm pretty well-known in these parts as being honest and concientous, so if the group has no objection, Chance please email me privately so we can discuss this and get started.

I'd like to see if we could make this an even bigger success than the first go round.
