Now I have 4 channels of this stuff! Simply AMAZING pre's with a phenominal eq. I'm stoked. :p

Hey, Michael.

I can't make out the make or model in the pic. How much were they?

Thanks!

Those are Audix 35102's.
Think: API pre meets Neve Eq.
The modules were actually made by ex-Neve employees... back in the day.
They have the same eq points as the Neve 33114's (I think it is).
Very clean, very discrete, up to 80dB of gain, the eq is switchable in or out, phantom power, DI, phase reverse, all racked by the man, Brent Averill.
Like I say, this is my second pair, so I am intimately familiar with these.

They run about $750 - $800 per channel. Sometimes more, if you can find them. BAE doesn't offer them anymore, so they can be difficult to find.

Now if you could only finish that place you call a studio to put them into some good use! LOL

You put the rack gear in

You take the rack gear out

You grab it by the ears

and shake it all about

you do the Hokey Pokey

thats whats its all about!

Hurry up and finish it already!!!!

Oh, and add a couple grand to have Mike Wagener come over and help you tune it all in one of his at your home workshops.

SoMm

I'm working on it SoMm.
Its a big job for one... sometimes 2 guys to do.
Slowly but surely, I'm wearing it down though.

I have some money in the budget for new gear, and on the rare occassion that things like these come along, I gotta jump on 'em!

OK... back to soldering.
