LOL I know - well it said "free ads for musicians" and I am a musician... - I would totally trade for music gear which is mainly why I posted it here.

Also: I'm not a dealer - i did build the machine but it's just a hobby I have because I like video games. I build several and sell a few and it almost covers the cost of me keeping one. But seriously the amount of work that goes into them and what we sell them for, we aren't even making close to minimum wage - it's purely a labor of love - it's actually quite fun designing and building them - and they look cool as hell in my game room :D I haven't been able to build any this year though, all my free time has been spent recording  - it's funny because my game room essentially has almost every video game ever made (about 1100 total games) in two cabinets but I never get to play them - unless we are having a party - they are a big hit at parties - and when kids come over of course they just love them.

I got rid of my full size original Galaga cabinet a few weeks ago - I didn't want to cause Galaga was my favorite game when I was a kid - but, i already had the same game board (60 games in all) in another cocktail cabinet in the same room unplugged, so even though the Galaga cabinet was awesome there really was no point in keeping two identical games. So I used the proceeds to buy my PA and a few assorted other items :)

Heck yeah! If a horse was up for trade and the owner wanted some music gear I'd do a trade like that.
Does it have asteroids? I love that game.
Have to ask. $1600. shipped?

And the most important question of all is - is it Modded?

Funny thing, I have a horse that I'd trade for music gear. It does have asstroids and it is not modded.....but it should be.

Sorry I don't think asteroids is on this machine - it's mostly second generation games from the 90's - it has some versions of the 80's games but they are not really playable because they are stretched out all wide (all the classic 80's games were vertical screens like pacman, donkey kong) - these are all wide screen games - It contains a jamma 1068-in-1 PCB so it's not a computer running MAMe - its a dedicated piece of hardware (it does us a HDD and run an OS) this is a pretty accurate games list here: http://www.goodsngadgets.com.au/ebay/1072gameslist.pdf

the classic ones only have 60 games but those are more popular - probably because the people like me that grew up on Galaga and PacMan can now afford one - I guess in 10 more years these games will be more popular :p

I don;t think I have ever seen a multi-board that has asteroids on it - might be due to the vector type graphics - I don't think they translate correctly like the common pixel based games.

As far as shipping goes it's a real pain in the ass to ship them but it can be done - I shipped one to NJ and I think it cost about $250 - we had to put it on a pallet and shrink-wrap it in Styrofoam. And that only delivered it to a trucking freight place in NJ - the buyer then had to pick it up in a truck - they will only deliver to a loading dock in a commercial building. Home delivery was like another $250! - so if you got a loading dock it's not too bad. I'm sure we could work something out if you really want it :p

y' know, a video game is actually a good idea for a studio- we have a pool table at studio101nola.com, gonna get vending machines for drinks, snacks, guitar strings/drum sticks/etc. eventually.
