GO PACKERS!
Tell me what you think, heres my first impressions.

1:file management
It's about time, this was a glaring weakness in the program.
2:drum map
Cool, very cool I am now not shackled to any set of sounds or having to split midi into seperate tracks.
3:drum brush thingy
I've dinked with it,the jury's still out.
4:Synth rack
Can somebody give me some ideas on how this makes my life better.I'm still learning.

Thats all the further I've gotten, how bout youse guyz????

you told me you were happy paying to upgrade to sonar 2. sounds like you bought it streight out. you dont even know how to use soft synths. thats why i dont like these forums you get these 16 year old kids who ack like pros.

Effectsnut don't be so bitter,if you wanted to continue your thread you could have left your thread open and I would have been more than happy to go back and forth with you there.
I was'nt aware that I was acting like a pro and I can only wonder what would bring you to that conclusion.
I am a hobbyist who finds these forums very helpful and given the chance will help someone else out.
I will take suggestions from anyone including you.

You asked for opinions in your thread and when people disagreed with you the tone became sour.

If you still would like to debate the merits of the upgrade I would suggest you start a new thread.....

in the meantime I've gotten a little deeper into S2 and I think it's pretty groovy.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to maximize S2 and use it to its fullest will be much appreciated.
THANKS (even to you effectsnut!)

Who's 16?? I sure as hell am not. I'm a professional industrial designer with a strong interest in music production/recording since I was 12. I also know how much work goes into new product R&D and why it costs money to the user. Do you?

You handled this situation very well, acidrock. ;)

Ditto.

I empathize with getting pissed at immature members who act like prepubescent little boys. However, I found this post useful.

(No offense to prepubescent little boys who make thoughtful posts).

SPINSTERWUN maybe you should talk to acidrock about his
sarcastic reply to my thread and the other guy brzilian.
i stated that i wasnt happy paying for somthing that should
be a free upgrade. you could have just ansered it like an adult.
dont make me look like the child... if you dont agree with me about sonar 2 thats fine..

Sarcasm..
guilty as charged!
That's not that unusual in a forum.
What is unusual is to close a thread and then go off about your treatment in another thread.
You've made your point that in your opinion the upgrade was not worth it.
By the sounds of these threads that would put you in the minority.
If you feel you've been slighted my suggestion would be to start a new thread or pack up your marbles and go home.

Aside from that I'm still open to any suggestions of tips or tricks to that exceptional value of a program called sonar 2!

oops I did it again!

dont make look like the child...
effectsnut, there is a forum here called the Dragon Cave, where we all talk stupid and act like dorks.

The cakewalk forum is fairly staid, we learn stuff and help each other out. You have 12 posts, and are attacking everybody. Why are you here? If you do not like Sonar, we got that. You seem to have a poor grasp of writing skills,
. thats why i dont like these forums you get these 16 year old kids who ack like pros.
etc. If you do not like these forums, could you do us a big favor and find a Forum more pleasing to your vastly superior knowledge and amazing writing ability? Cheers.

david k jump on the bandwagon. do you feel accepted here now
do you feel like you have friends.... its too bad i got attacked on my first post..

Yes, I feel accepted here, and I do not feel like I have friends, I know Damn well that I have a lot of friends around these parts. If you take the chip off your shoulder, we are always looking for some more friends here, why don't you join us? You can push my email (actually it is the pm) button to send me an email, or anyone else around here.

We got some good guys here , I know many by their real names. Come join us, and you can get a group hug. Cheers
