I'm pretty happy with the way these came out! I think it's a marked improvement in my drum sound...Still in garage, still using a Firepod, but I had stands to mic the toms instead of clips and to get the overheads over the kit rather than kind of just poking over it. The drummer played pretty good too, I was diligent about making him hit his snare as hard as he could in sections I noticed he backed off on.
Opinions? Please? I used an MXL990 as a center overhead really high above the kit, I think I should have put it somewhere else...Where's a good place to put a room/distance mic to get more snare?
