Nice recording. I don't know why no one has commented yet. The only thing I would fix is a couple of places where the singing and guitar stop, you can hear someone sniff or take a breath through the nose. First one is around 1:12. Should be easy enough to delete that or volume automate it out. Very nicely done.

Beautiful voice. I don't mind the bit of background room noise as it gives at live in the room effect. Good instrumental section at 3:00. I thought the vocal bit of repeating countermelody at 2:02-18 was too prominent, though the female backing vocals other than that are mixed really well.

Oh, and I'd try a slight cut on the guitar around 1500 Hz. Very well played rhythm guitar part.

Beautiful!
Congrats to your wife, great voice. I like the "roomy" sound of the mix and I have no nits about it. Nice work!

Guitar zero: Thanks for getting things started with the first comment! :) Yeah, I can't get rid of that noise unfortunately. We recorded this on my Tascam 414 cassette 4-track, and on track 1 was acoustic, my wife's lead vocal, and my harmony vocal all done together. I attenuated all 3 of the other tracks when they were inactive, but that noise (I think my foot is tapping at one point) is on the main track.

XLR: Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the countermelody section. I may try another one where they aren't so loud. I think that was a result of ear fatigue. I'll try that cut on the guitar and see, but as mentioned above, the lead vocal is on the same track, so I have limited room.

Joey M: Thanks for the listen. Yes I think my wife has a beautiful voice as well! :)

Had this playing on our family room stereo. My wife heard it, then played the original from the Twilight soundtrack to compare. Preferred your performance to the orig. :)

I thought I posted on this song a few days ago but I guess I didn't. I really like the song and your wife has an awesome voice. Major kudos to you both.

XLR: Wow, that's great, thanks! :)

Dodge: Thanks for the listen and the kind words. :)
