I just posted a few clips from beats i've been workin on. Trying different variety of styles. Tell me what yall think! (I haven't mixed them on the monitors yet. Headphone mixes)

Ok, clip 7 was ba-nan-nas..That joint was crazy. Was that a smple or did you play that? Clip 5, and 4 were hot too. Clip 2 had real nice melody as well.

I played clip 7. I was messin around actin stupid wit the sound and i did that by mistake so i kept it and built the track around it. Thanks for the feedback.

Clip 7 is crazy man jus add some mo drops and stuff and u good to go. Def feelin it.

Clip 3-Ok i could def see a southern rappah on dis.

Clip 2-Not my style at all

Clip 1-Had me goin at first but i aint feelin all da otha instrumentation.

thanks for da feedback miss. By your comments i can see that you are a fan of "crunk beats". I like crunk beats too but i like to be diverse. I do all kinds of styles and i like alot of different kinds of music. I got drops and stuff in all those beats but since i'm on dial up i can't load the whole thing. I would be online forever! I just had to make short demos. I'm thinkin about puttin up a sample of my flows tommorow. That freestyle joint was wack. I was just spittin somethin. Don't base my flowability on dat. Anywayz, holla back at yo boy. Souf Cack!!

Damn i cant get enough of Clip 7. Dat shit has dat Scott Storch feel. What did u use for da track. I see u got a nice lil arsenal. Let me know.

Thanks. Believe it or not, i used fruity loops in combination with my yamaha board thru midi! I have a nice collection of soundfonts that i use. People like to rag on fruity loops but i have customized fruity loops by leaps and bounds! I do things wit that program that they don't even have in the manual. Experimentation is key.

Oh ok. Dats whats up. Well i would have neva thought u did dat in FL. But good job.

Alot of them tracks were off the hook. I could swear I heard some "modern beats" samples in there. You got that FL going good. I use reason 3.0 and I love the sounds you are getting there. I use a similar setup, Reason, Korg Synths, Tannoy monitirs, Acid, Sound Forge. Check out my beats to and let me know your opinions. Thanks

Here are my last 3 beats (sorry for the tags, I'm selling)

Nice beatzz mann. I'm tryin to learn reason a little bit. I've been squeezing every ounce of juice out of fl so i'm tryin to learn somethin new now. Where u get your sounds man? Nice!

Reason Tricks

About half of them are from the reason 3.0 soundbank. However, they get kinda old so I layer all my sounds up to create new ones. A good trick in reason is to just start a new project, load a sampler and the redrum unit. then use 4,5 or all channels to create a bass drum sound or snare or clap etc. I export them out as a wav then reload them to use them in a sequence. I do the same for the guitar riffs, synth sounds etc. Here is a trade secret if you don't already know it. Let's say you are building a kick drum sound and you are using 5 channels. Load 5 differnet kiks or sounds and Pan each channel differently and use reverbs on 1 or 2 of them (different verbs for each) then add an eq to it to tweak it to your liking, it will be tight, trust me. I also try to add some sort of 40-50 khz freq to each note of the drum to give it punch. You could use an 808 and tweak it a little tighter to get the same effect. Hope this helps. Let me know if you want to try building a beat. I'll start it and send you the file, then you can add something to it and send it back and keep doing this til we got something.

Thanks for the tip. Been doin it for a while tho. Especially before i knew i could add my own sounds to fruity loops. I started playing piano at 3. No one had taught me tho. I picked it up by ear. Picked up saxophone in 6th grade. Started makin beats on an old yamaha board in about 6th or 7th grade. I didn't even know about computer music until the summer of 2003. I started with the first fruity loops. After a while, i had to learn how to tweak the sounds to make em sound new since i didn't know how to add new ones. I use fl studio 4 now and my sound library is very extensive. I do have a few modern beats samples too, lol! I have no clue how many gigs of sounds i have. I recorded some of my own sounds also.
