I guess what I'm curious about is How do we know these aren't made in the same plant, or pulled off the same assembly line?

I would be curious to know.

Well, this could be pure speculation. The bodies look pretty similar, who knows about the insides. I actually own berry's DDX3216 digital console and I think its a great product. But there's a history that behringer has done knock outs on some products...ex mackie... and its known that they manufacture their mics on china, so does SP.

I wouldnt doubt that its a rip off....but without seeing the insides, you cant tell WHO is being ripped.....and it could also be an "off the shelf" model.....

Well, in at least most industries a knockoff is a deliberate attempt to make a product identical to another product. Unless it violates trademarks or patents then there is nothing illegal to a knockoff, or even necessarily unethical.

By that definition it is quite clear that Beheringer had the C4 in mind when they drew up plans for this mic.

OR

Both of them are putting their names on the same chineese OEM product. In which case nobody is knockingoff anybody.
