Hello Rick, welcome to the board.

Took a listen. If this is your first ever try at multi-tracking, you are doing well for a beginner (not like I'm any kind of expert or anything...quite the opposite, I'm just a homerecr like the rest of us) :)

Okay, first thing that stuck out to me was that the bass and bottom-end is really dominating this mix. It sounds like it needs some balancing/eq to even it out. Get some highs in there.

Your playing is fine. I did notice the organ was off on the timing in quite a few places. Maybe this is just due to getting the hang of multi-tracking which can be difficult. What I would suggest is to go through it a few times and just take some practice takes so you can work out what lines you want to put on there. If you are just going for an "improv" feel, that is fine, but it needs to be in time or it will not sound right.

You have a good voice and a good vocal on this. Good bass line too, just a little too loud in the mix.

Drums, probably one of the hardest things to get right, sound kind of tinny on this end, but not too bad.

Good song and well sung, and a good effort for your first time multi-tracking. Stick around the board, check out other's tunes and you'll learn a lot. You'll also make some friends, and get to hear a lot of great music!

Welcome again!

:D

Ahh the oversaturation of excessive reverb. Take some of that off the voices.

Technically your track levels are too low. You need to get the sound level of the final mix up.

Yeah the bass is excessive and the drums are buried.

Vocals are too loud compared to the instruments.

Sounds like you used the same reverb on the keyboards that you used on the vocal. I would run them fairly dry and off to one side. There is a lot you can do with doubling the keyboards and guitars and panning them out to the side.

Basically keep the vocal down the center with the bass and kick, the rest you can move out to the sides.

I would run the guitars and bass dry. Sounds like you might have put the reverb on the bass, generally a no no.

That's enough to keep you busy for awhile. Good first time effort by the way.

Thanks

I'll work on it. I appreciate the feedback....this is a great site !
