New and Improved Fender Standard Jazz Bass

Does anyone one know the real differences of the new Standard Jazz bass that Fender is releasing? It looks like the only changes were to the pick-ups and the new "vintage style knobs". Small changes but the prices went up nearly $50. What changes did they make to the pick-ups? Is this supposed to eliminate the hum problem that the Mexican made basses were known for?
Any help is appreciated.

Looks like they really went up closer to $80 over the previous model.
 
I am not 100% sure but I believe Bass Player Magazine reviewed the "new and improved" Standard Jazz bass model but I could not tell you how many months back. It may have been the issue with the 50th Fender Anniversary on the cover. If I remember right they listed the improvements specifically.
