new 1680

well I just bought me a 1680 on ebay.I have a question,Is there any efx like reverb or delay in the base unit or must I buy a vs8f-2 card.Also is it dificult to use an external efx machine with this.Thanks for any advice Al
 
u gotta have the cards installed. I will assume the unit is coming without a card. The verb effects on the VS8F-2 are real cool. U should work on getting at least one card and better yet both cards for mastering.

U can run external effects thru the Aux's on the 1680. It is just a matter of routing the signal properly and having the right patch cables. ie-1/4 to RCA depending on your efx processor.
