Just a quick comment. I'm building mic cables for the studio now using Belden 1800F AES cable (man it's expensive) and Neutrik NC3MX-B/NC3FX-B XLR connectors. Got the connectors off eBay new for about $1 each. I gotta say I really like these connectors. They're very easy to work with. The pin cups take solder very well and the cups are also pre-loaded with solder. I also like the internal strain relief that grips the cable as you tighten the rear cover. The rear cover has a very good rubber seal and also allows the cable to flex. A well designed connector that I highly recommend. OK, I'm through :D :D

Don, if you like those, you'll like their TRS connectors too - same setup, basically. They are really easy to set up, and that strain relief blows the others away for ease and simplicity. I've suspected, and a few months ago been told by a "road warrior", however, that they don't hold up as well as the Switchcraft in a high stress situation like touring/gigging - personally, I started using the TRS version (NP3C, and NP2C TS versions) about 8 months before I stopped playing live, and had no probs with them. For studio, they ROCK... Steve

Yeah I try to stick to switchcraft connectors. They are kind of like the standard for hard use. But I will look into the Neutrik if they are a little cheaper. Hey BTW, Don, what part of Ga you from? I live in McDonough.

I have some Beldon Custom cables that have the neutrik connectors on them, and I have to agree, they are choice!
