Just a quick comment. I'm building mic cables for the studio now using Belden 1800F AES cable (man it's expensive) and Neutrik NC3MX-B/NC3FX-B XLR connectors. Got the connectors off eBay new for about $1 each. I gotta say I really like these connectors. They're very easy to work with. The pin cups take solder very well and the cups are also pre-loaded with solder. I also like the internal strain relief that grips the cable as you tighten the rear cover. The rear cover has a very good rubber seal and also allows the cable to flex. A well designed connector that I highly recommend. OK, I'm through
