Hi All
I've got a fantastic Neumann U89 that has been upgraded at the component level by Jim Williams of Audio Upgrades.
Serial No. is 6328.
The condition of the mic and capsule is pristine.
This is Jim's favorite Neumann mic (no center screw in the K89 capsule).
It is smoother than the U87 and is one of the least colored of the Neumann mics.
It excels on female vocals, voice over, acoustic and wind instruments, drum overheads etc.
If you do an internet search, you will find a lot of commentary from fans of the mic.
I am just not using it in the genres I am recording these days.
This will be one of the best U89s you'll hear.
Condition is like new. Not a ding or scratch, only very light use in my smoke free studio.
Comes with shock mount pictured.
Jim's mod is $250 so save yourself the cost and the wait.
Asking $2250 firm....I would consider a trade for a 65 Amps London Pro but that's about it.
