Greetings..........I am selling this item for the family of my best friend who recently passed. It was used in his home studio and is pristine. It was used very little. It has the wooden box and the cardboard box it came in. I am not certain that the paperwork that comes with it is there but I will check this weekend. The shockmount has the box too. I believe they were bought at different times. The mic is like brand new. The shockmount has a little smudge where the "made in germany" decal is.
I believe he purchased the mic in 2004. Asking $1750.00 + shipping
This is the first item I have attempted to sell here so if you are interested e-mail me and I will give you my home phone # and enough info to put your mind at ease. I have been employed by the City of Miami Beach Fire Dept.....
Ocean Rescue Division for almost 20 years.
Thanks
Rico

There are other items for sale as well. His daughter is giving me a list this weekend.

Rico,

Send me a PM with your information and also the info on the rest of the gear that will be available.

Was your friend who passed, also a Career Firefighter??

I work with Harrisburg City Bureau of Fire as a career Firefighter full time for 17 years now, and I am also on PA-TF1. We were the first National Rescue Team to hit WTC on Sept 11th in New York. Florida has 8 USAR teams dosent it??

Anyway, let me know whats up and I will keep in touch. I am sure there are things that they will want to sell, that I can maybe use for my home studio (if I can afford them) ;) especially if this helps out the family of a brother firefighter.

Stay safe

The U-87 is no longer available...........................Thanks
Rico

im sorry to hear about your friend, anyway.

Thanks..............I would delete the thread but there is no edit fearture on my original post.
After a close examination the U-87 had issues that I had not noticed so I could not offer it in good faith.

What's wrong with it?

The capsule does not line up with the housing and I was not going to start trying to unscrew it. I have not tested it to see if it works though. The family may send it back to Neumann. Oh well!!!!!!!!!

You mean when you look thru the front grille, the capsule is sideways inside the basket?

U87 is pretty easy to take apart actually.

Small world. How are Vince and Hank doing? When the Division was Beach Patrol under Parks and Recreation, Kevin Smith told me about this guy. Must be the same guy anyway. I didn't think he had family though. Kevin said he had a lot of gear though and had a pretty decent home studio. Anyway, sucks to hear he passed. I used to work for Parks and Rec, 5 1/2 years under Kevin, that's how I know this.
