Sneaky. I was on the other side of the spectrum as a demolition expert in the 82nd airborne division.
I basically jumped out of airplanes with explosives. How smart is that?

About as smart as going on a ship designed to sink, I guess.

That must have been a cool gig. Did you see any action?

I wouldn't mind jumping out of an airplane, but I don't think my knees can handle the stress of landing anymore.

All dressed up and nowhere to go ... was in from 72 to 76 - everyone was just coming back from Nam.

As long as the winds are below 12 MPH the landing is softer than stepping out of bed.
Though I did hit the ground pretty hard at times in higher winds!
