I just purchased a Powermac G5 and I still have my PC with windows 2000 professional on it.
I am trying to network these two computers together for file sharing. Somehow I got my PC to regornize the mac, But I'm having troubles getting to my PC from the mac.
Does anyone know networking around here?
thanks

If you are on OS X then you can definatly get to the PC from the mac. If my memory serves me correct you use the smb protocol.

So to connect to a pc called PC1 you would type smb:\\PC1 and then use the local account username/password to see the shared folders (i presume yuo have shared out some folders on the PC already)

In fact, here is an article on it:

by the way, do you know much about latency issues when monitoring a recording?

Cheers

Mike

thanks you very much! I got it working, and no, unfortunately I have not gotten into recording on my comp yet, I'm finally making the switch from analog.
