Quite honestly, I think I prefer Neil Young covers over Neil Young originals. this one is no exception.

The two things that stick out the most to me are the vocals and snare. I suggest bringing the vocals (both takes) up and lower the snare. Other than that, it's got a great organic feel.

Listened to this a few times since you first posted, but just getting around to commenting now, sorry. Used to listen to a lot of Neil...not so much now. This is a nice recording. Super mellow with a nice room sound.

I agree with the Chili man. I like the snare sound and expect it to be prominent on this tune, but maybe it is just a bit too forward?

The vocals have great clarity, but I kind of lose her voice from time to time. It seems like when she hits the lower notes specifically, her voice kind of fades away...the higher notes are very clear. The harmonies are nice but loose and I guess I'd prefer to hear one voice more behind the other than as presented currently...all small issues though, and only my impressions. A nice recording all around .
