Please tell me if you think this would make a good setup:

Cool Edit Pro software

Echo Mona soundcard

Samson Mixpad 9 submixer

Samson DMS80 Monitor system

Samson Q5 Headphone Amp

Samson RH600, RH300 or RH100 headphones

Samson RH11, S11, S12 or Q2 mics

plus all necessary cables, AC adapters, mic stands, more than capable computer for it all.

What do you think?

havent had any experience with that gear though it sounds like u have all the gear to to the job... cool edit is good if your new to digital recording , just lacks midi and a few other little perks that something like logic is renowned for .. But part from that i dont mind cool edit.. So whats the samson gear like ..??noiseless?? and whats the price range of it all?? anyway i think it sounds ok ..whats the pc your using ? anyway good luck with it all...
cheers

yep

As far as I know the Samson gear is pretty good quality, and it's fairly cheap as well. One of my friends just bought a Samson PA and he's happy with it.

You sound like you are familiar with Cool Edit, so can you answer a question for me?

It looks to me like Cool Edit Pro can record 64 tracks just from one input. So does this mean if I get a 4 input card instead of 8, i'll still be able to record 64 tracks, but only 4 at a time?
