I am still beginning in this home recording thing, although I have been performing at local events around my town for awhile. I would like to present to this forum two audios.
My recording setup includes Mic > MAudio Buddy 2 Channel Preamp > Computer [AC97] > Adobe Audition

This first one is using my Shure SM58. I wrote this song rather arbitrarily but I liked it so I asked my friend Mark G to lend me his vocals. The guitar was captured through direct in, my Ibenez has both xlr and 1/4" out. I tried some subtle filters, mainly to bring out the vocals and guitar.

This next audio is using my new CAD GXL2400 Condenser Mic. Me and some friend wrote this song almost a year ago and we have been performing it around at these events we appear at. But again I asked my friend Mark G and my brother to lend me their vocals, so that I could get better at this home recording. All credit to the beat goes to another friend of mine. More information on his producing later. I went a little FILTER crazy on this one.
I would like your opinions. I realize that the timing on both are a bit off at times. But I would just like to get some tips or stuff that I need to work on. I realize the music themselves need some work but I would like to hear what you guys have to say. Please be constructive. I appreciate it
