Hi!
I'd really love to hear other people's opinions on whether this will make a solid home recording build. It's my very first and I don't want to just blow away that kind of money, the budget's already stretched as it is :p

I'd get another 1TB hard drive or two. Or get a 120GB SSD plus the 1TB hard drive you are already getting.

Any particular reason why you want a micro ATX motherboard? It'll work and all, but it's pretty tiny and doesn't have many expansion ports on it. 142 pounds seems steep for such a small mobo (not sure of the current exchange rate with US dollars but I recently purchased a Gigabyte standard ATX mobo for far less than that).

What audio interface are you going to be using?

Question: is it worth waiting til Black Friday? Cos I want it now :(

I saw it for half the price on eBay, new, so I'll admit it was a bit of an impulse buy. Thankfully however I don't regret it. As a student I need a mATX build because I won't be living here next year and because it would take up my whole flat otherwise. Btw it's the CPU that cost £142, this only cost me £19 :thumbs up:

What you're getting will definitely work, but make sure you leave room for expansion later on.
Believe me I will haha, cheers!
