Let me know how the mix sounds if you would. Im still trying to tweak my new monitors (KRK Rokit 8's) and could use the feedback on, if its too bright or to much low end. Let me know what speakers or headphones your listening on too. That info helps out alot. The mix sounds alot brighter on my consumer equipment and headphones, so Im thinking I need to adjust the HF switch on the back of the KRK's monitors. Its a simple little jam with a few mistakes :) Sorry, Im very rusty. I hope to correct and/or add to the mix when I can. Here is a link. Keep in mind its a 128mp3. http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=7720150&q=hi

All in all a good job. The lead is a bit harsh and the kick could be brought up just a little. I like good clean highs, so I wouldn't change anything else. I'm listening on my Logitech 5 channel fake surround speakers. BTW I like the song.

Thanks. I have recieved other replies elsewhere and all say just a tad too high. The Rokits have a HF switch on the back which I have at -2db. I need to put it back to 0db or +1 and remix. The whole mix was done in a few hours and needs some fixing up. The lead at the end needs alot :) . But I needed to get a few more mixes under my belt with the new Rokits and your input helps alot. Thanks again

I'm listening on KRK Rokit 8's in a treated room. I'm surrounded by reflection absorbers, a cloud overhead, and bass traps in the corners. To me, the highs are a little bright, but just barely. Just barely. It's one of those judgement call things. I can see many people being totally okay with it. The highs are right on the edge.

I´m listening on a pair of Samson Rubicon.
Room is treated too.

Highs are ok to me.
Guitars: excellent tone, very well balanced in the mids.
Overall mix is pretty good to me.

BD (IMO) lacks bottom end and sounds a bit "boxy" in the mids (my taste, as I said).

Same with me. I have alot of panels on the walls and up high. I have the Rokits at -2db and was hoping to get out there and change it to Zero or +1 and see how much brighter it gets on the KRK's. But we have been picking up supplies for my daughters 18 birthday party. That comes first :)

Thanks for the feedback Ciro. Alot of it is taiste. But there was such a difference between the Rokits and all my other stuff, I knew I needed to adjust either them or my panels. My ears were shot and I was fighting a hopeless battle :) Since most say its a little bright then I now have a starting point. I need to go get me a few descent reference cd's to help out too.

Highs are are only a tad too high, they don't need much fixing, Bush.
Nice groovy tune, great riffin'! Like the wah. Drums sound pretty good.

Joey :):):):)

Thanks Joey. Still havnt had a chance to tweak the HF on the Rokits and remix. Party planning.

I'm listening on 'Cinet' earbuds. I know them to be a little bit dark and muddy...but your mix comes through pretty nicely...so maybe my buds have taken off a little of whatever high endy stuff that you said you were concerned about in your opening post. When are the lyrics going on?

I'm listening on a pair of MDR headphones but have previoulsy adjusted the tone settings on my soundcard to compensate for them (cross ref'd with oher h/phones & speakers) so the tone I get is not completely inaccurate given they are h/phones:
I like the sound you have - some little bits of gtr are a little bright but only a very little.
the bass drum is more click than kick to my ears.
Good work I'd say. It'd be worth getting used to the monitors rather than adjusting them too much wouldn't it?

Thanks Ray for the reply. There was a huge difference inbetween my monitors and other equipment. I set the HF switch on the KRK's to +1 and everything translates better now. The remix is alot better now.

Added another small backing guitar track. Just a couple small parts. Nothing major. I keep forgetting to fade the cymbal at the end to. I'll fix that will the next rendering. Thinking about maybe throwing in some synth too.

The highs are nice and sweet. I'm listening through a pair of Grado 325i's & they are not forgiving when it comes to high's. Good job.

Thanks tateros. Now I need to come up with maybe a cool synth part or lyrics. I dont know why I had the HF switch on the KRK's set at -2db in the first place. I forget stuff alot. Freakin getting old and feeling it.
