SOunds Dated, Mix is kinda limp ( I know it's at 24kbps)

and delays are out of time so you loose the feel.

Thanks, I will work on the delays. Anyone, Anything else?

How would you recommend fixing some of the issues you mentioned? (dated? limp?)

Limp is a mix issue. Dated, Hmm let me get back to you on that one.

I guess it is lacking heat in the track. Per my taste.

Also realize I tend to pursue a more mainstream sound in my life too so that could influence my opinion.

Bryan Giles

Hope that helps as a start.

I was going to mention the 'mainstream' thing. I know that the music of today is about being hot & loud and 'who cares what they are saying, the music is tight'. I can't understand half the things people sing these days. Britney all she does is have orgasms with the mic.

On the other hand, the Christian music industry is the extreme opposite-- which I think is a huge problem. Christians are more focus on what it is said and they get left behind in the music. Now I am not saying that is what I am attempting to do with my posted mp3. The beat I made has an old kind of idea behind it. Maybe I can post another one.

Giles, what do you recommend for me to make the track hotter, compression? stronger kick? more mids? or just a better overall mix, from top to bottom?

I Feel you. All I do is promote/produce/engineeer Gospel/Christian Music, But My Emphasis is on BOTH. My anger with CCM and Gospel is that they sacrifice quality for words.

If God created the Devil (The Chief Musician) and kicked him out of heaven why can't the creator of all things get his people to do excellence all across the board. Satan Does. Of course the bible says he that has an ear to hear let him hear.

God made Satan, Satan did music. God gave him his gift so we have the same gifts available to us. PERIOD.

James Says every good and PERFECT gift comes down from the father of Lights. Our God.

ANyway nuff preaching...

Exactly!! Couldn't have said it better. My vision is to help better the christian rap industry. I feel like there's too much of the same thing out there. The message in a Christian rap song nowadays, in a spiritual aspect, does not even come close to gospel nor Praise and worship. It's just not deep enough. The chances of someone falling in the Spirit are very slim when listening to Rap. My vision is to help combine both rap & worship together. Ofcourse, I am only a musician with the calling to make and create music but singing & writing lyrics is out of my realm at the moment. I know what I want. Hopefully I can help this group (Ben-Ami) get there.

The song I posted is the only track with that type of message. The rest are just about ministering, and a little of P&W. This is my first rap project. Before that I was the music director of our Praise & Worship team at my local church, so most of the music I made revolved around P&W.
Thanks giles!!
