hello
I'm having a hard time syncing up my wax cylinders. Any ideas? Anyone?

this is what I'm using:

except I have 48 of them, and I need them to all play at the same time so I can do multitrack recordings.

You dont mention what phonograph you are using. Is it an Edison or maybe Columbia? What model?

Most Edisons have the axis availiable for easy access, so then you can remove the axis from all of them, and put the together, six by six, side by side but with a new long common axis. At the end of this eight new "6-tracks", you put cogwheels so that all these eight move in sync. You now have a huge 48-track wax cylinder recording!

Then you attach a motor to all this, and voila! Done! No Sweat!

I hear Thomas Edison posts here under the name "regebro" - I'm sure he can help you - watch for his posts....
