need suggestions for laptop setup

hi:
I have a Creative external USBv2 soundcard hooked up to a laptop through a Behringer Eurorack MX602A mixer, and I use Powetracks from PG music as the software. I'm getting a slight delay on the second track when I try and multitrack, and as far as I can find out this is a latency problem.

One person suggested to me that I have to monitor the signal coming in the mixer BEFORE it goes out to the sound card. Right now I have the Aux Send from the mixer go into the Line In of the soundcard, and the Line Out from the soundcard goes into the Aux Return in the mixer.

Can anyone tell me the proper way to wire this so that I can monitor the signal before it gets to the sound card? I have attached a picture of the mixer so you can see what controls there are.

I'm not sure this is going to get around your latency problem. How fast is your laptop processor? Have you got all the latest drivers and firmware installed? (including windows update). I have this exact same mixer and don't have any problems with it on a 1.8ghz AMD.
