I'm looking for a good soundcard for my computer.
I did'nt feel like sifting through threads with the search function.
Any advice!

If you have a GC around maybe try a EMU1820.
They had two on clearance for $160 with the Audio Dock and the PCI card.
24/192Khz with TFPro preamps (and good converters not sure which chip?)
so what its frkn last years model!

It comes with free software too...but doesn't everything?

What are all of the possible compatability issues with regards to AMD/Intel processors as well as most popular DAW software?

I'm not too sure about that but this seems like a good place to ask why my mixes aren't loud enough.

BTW. What are the best compressor settings for music?

:D

Look, all I wanna know is what soundcard to use with my pirated software!

Maybe a Little Info on what exactly you want to do would help....

Like how many Tracks do you want to record at once?? and what equipment do you allready have?? and do you want Midi or just audio??

any other Info would help us figure out what you need so you can do what you want to do...

Could someone run a search on these Audigy cards and figure out which links are relevant to Kung Fu recording.
I'm busy in the cave and haven't the time.

well...There really aren't any compatibility issues.
I've been PC recording almost 2 weeks now. And I'm pretty sure if you encounter any problems or lock-ups its the users fault not the product.

AMD and Intel are two different companys. They argue alot.

Monkeys throw their shit when angry.

Nobody exactly markets a card for kung-fu recordings. Just get an M-Audio Delta 1010LT.

Will you be doing your kung fu voice overs in midi? You'll need a midi keyboard.

You will need a compressor. Don't bother with a soundcard, just hardwire that into your pc somehow. This is called a compressor plugin. You can get varous kinds of plugins by hardwiring certain units into your computer. For example niose gate plugins. FX plugins etc etc. Behringer gear is best for this and will guarantee you a professional sound.

This is a known trick for recording kung fu. However, none of that will work unless you lipsynch your speech badly. Both whilst recording, and during general communication, for about 3 weeks. You can only record on Mondays. It won't work any other day.

This is a great thread, I'm learning alot about plug-in VST's and movie production audio recording.

This great to have this kind of information and facts for us newbies who've been trying to record for like 35 years..

I don't know if it's true, but I heard monkey's will throw their own shit at things when their angry.

You need to add a Radio Shack mic to be able to record that. And that only works on Thursdays and Saturdays.
