I got hooked up with a Bellinger mic200 preamp...which is your basic preamp. Was talked into it as I was using a vocal mic to my amp straight into the computer. However he had no power supply when he gave it to me. I tried one that fit and the lights came on but the power light is not on.
The mic I received for free also is a Bluebird condenser mic. I am assuming it has no phantom power and did nothing when I went from the preamp to my computer.
I then tried my vocal mic and it did work however the knobs on the preamp did nothing as I am guessing it has no power even though there are tube amps dimly light inside. I ordered a replacement power supply for it.
As for the condenser mic is there any other way of testing it until I get the power supply in the mail such as plugging it into my guitar amp? I just want to hear what it sounds like as I've never had one of these kind of mics before. Thanks.
