The drum machine is annoying. Mainly due to the crappy programming. Vocals are buried too. What I can hear of them, the appear to have ssssssssome ssssssssibilance problemssssssss.

It seems like there is a lot of reverb a delay..
And too much reverb can from what i have heard i'm not to experienced in mixing vocals...
But that can make the vocals fall into the bakground kinda...try to lighten up on the reverb on the other instruments..And the vocals will come back into the picture better probably..
Otherwise the mix is wide and the drums aren't that bad i have heard worse for example my own drumrecordings but the tom fills do feel a little sterile maybe try different velocities on the tom hits to make them sound more "real"..
Well thats what i can think of right now sir! Rock on!

Thanks for the feedback

Ya, you are right about the reverb, I'll tone it down. The drums were done from the session drummer in Sonar 4. I haven't quite figured out how or if you can adjust the velocity on them yet.

Not bad at all for a first recording. I agree the vocals could use a little help, they aren't quite muddy but they do seem a little muffled. Sometimes a little EQ boost in the high mids (not much, just a little) will help bring vocals forward in the mix. Reverb kind of pushes sounds back, great for backing vocals but sometimes it takes away from the main vocal. Lately I've been using less reverb and more delay on vocals, you might want to try that and see how it sounds, don't get too heavy with delay unless you are recording rock-a-billy or trying to sound like John Lennon.

Thanks for taking a listen. I've discovered that part of the problem is that you can hear the metronome and the other tracks on the vocal track, it bled through. Ooops... I haven't found a way to turn the other instruments down and leave the vocals up in the mix during recording. They needed redoing anyways.
