Hey, I'm trying to finalize this song here, just trying to get some opinions. I still need to track a real piano, right now it's just a QuadraSynth going direct, which sounds pretty crappy, but all other instruments will probably stay.

The Tundra Toes - Poor Taste in Footwear

Drums I did a recorderman setup with SM81's, and then a 57 on the snare and RE-20 on kick. Bass is DI. Acoustic guitar I miked with a C1000 and an 81, electric guitar I cheated and used GuitarRig :p Vocals are just a 58, I actually tried to use a TLM 103 but the singer insisted he liked the 58 better.

I did my main mix in-the-box using Pro Tools, bounced to stereo, and then ran it through the Waves SSL Quad Compressor plug-in.

Any thoughts? Should I back off on the QuadComp a bit? I'm trying to go for a grainy college-radio kind of vibe, so I realize it isn't sonically pristine.

Any comments/constructive criticism is highly appreciated. Thanks!

It's certainly quirky. Mix sounds pretty good to me. I would tend to back off on the compression/limiting a bit, as it does pump a bit, especially when the drums come in.
