Need serious set up help!!

Hey--
I need to get some new recording equipment and fast!!! I'm looking for a digital workstation that has at least 8 simultaneous inputs and 12 or 16 tracks. I'm willing to buy used, and planning to buy from ebay. Do you have any suggestions on what I should get?

Because the replies were not sufficient. all the options were too expensive. my budget is 500.
 
Then post that on that thread or everyone will just keep replying. If budget is an issue you need to say that first.

You will not find a new multitrack with those capabilities at that price.
 
Or used, especially if you want a digital workstation with at least eight inputs. Not even close. Or 12 to 16 tracks. Widen up your price to 1000 and you can get a A/H, but that's analog.
