I'm getting tired os spending money each time I go into the studio to create or change something and want to start doing my own home recording.
Can anyon give me advice on which product would be the easiest for me to get started with.
Everyone keeps telling me to go with Protools or Reason... Also, any advice on MAC products.
ProTools M-Powered might be a good start, a good mix of affordability and features. You'll find, however, as you probably already have, that opinion on the "best" and "easiest" recording systems varies extremely widely, and you won't get a consensus on this board. But given that this is the ProTools forum, I hope I can endorse this program without too many flames up my backside...
First, you have to figure out what your needs are going to be. Meaning how many inputs and outputs are you going to need simultaneously. Pro Tools LE comes with chosen interfaces. M-Powered Pro Tools sells the software separately and you get to choose which interface you want. But as the user stated above, best is subjective.
