actually, two of the tracks >>"ghost hunting" and "distant and fading" i just uploaded ghost hunting a few minutes ago so it may take a while to show up on my playlist. for ghost hunting i'm wondering if the vocals are too loud and guitars too soft? i know a lot of it is a matter of taste but something just doesnt seem to be sitting well. as for distant and fading, how does that sound mix-wise?

I listen to "Ghost Hunting". The vocal's not too loud, the music seems too distant. The bass need much more! I'd like to hear the vocal without the reverb. Liked the entry of the guitar solo. The whole song needs some drama; some punches, some emotion in the vocals, maybe. Some drum rolls and cymbal crashes. Good starting point, though and has potential. IMO, that is.

Sorry fellow,
NONE of your tracks would run from the site.

thats wierd, usually they do, maybe the site was having problems.

"ghost hunting"<>>>>i'm gonna do some more mixing on the track tonight maybe, do you think just boosting the volume of the instruments is all i need to do or does it sound like i need to do some eq-ing or compression?> the only thing i compressed was the vocals, and i'll probably end up re doing the vocals because i just listened to it again and it just doesnt have what i'm looking for/ also, does it sound like too much reverb on the vocals?

"distant and fading">>> anyone listen to it yet? opinions on the mix? i'm thinking about redoing it with drums but not sure yet.

Hi

Your vocals sound a bit heavy on the mid eq, givin it that boxy feel.

You've recorded the acoustic guitar well, what mics, pre's did you use?

Mac

i used one shure sm 57 mic through my behringer mixer into my computer sound card using cool edit 2.1 with very little tweaking of the eq and just a pinch of reverb
