Have experience tracking and mixing with Logic Pro. Currently am using a Rhode NT1-A mic, bluetube preamp, focusrite saffire audio interface, auto-tune, and waves native power pack.

I'm beginning to work on project and have the finances to increase the quality of my studio gear. I'm looking at upgrading my mic, preamp, and adding another focusrite to the mix for additional tracks.

What would your suggestions be for a high end vocal microphone ($1000 range)? I'm also considering the Avalon preamps. What else am I missing?

Distinctive rock sound with drums (have solid mics for each piece), electric guitars, acoustic, and keys.

I know it's a broad questions, but suggestions anyone?

What part of the sounds you are getting now need improvement?

Bluetube pre might be a weak spot in your chain.

Really depends on what you think you are missing in your sound.

How are you recording your guitars?
