What do you think, are these any good?? Right now I need a cheap ass solution..anything that beats my $3 computer speakers. Im relatively new to recording but I've been a musician for quite some time, so anything decent enough as to let me mix down my music is fine with me. Let me know what you think. Tips & ideas are also welcome. Thanks a million :)

This is a sample of one of my songs just to give you an idea of what I'm working with.

look on musiciansfriend.com they have a range of cheap monitors...ask questions before you buy. cheap doesnt always mean shitty, but it can...make sure you get someting decent for your price point

Put it this way... if a medical lab bought cheap microscopes they may miss seeing critical details that helps them identify dangerous viruses. However if they used good microscopes, with lens' that clearly show all the detail they need to see, they become much more effective at identifying potentially dangerous germs.

It's no different with monitors -- poor quality monitors means you have to second guess if whether the sound source is bad, or it's simply coloration of the monitor chain.

No, you don't have to buy top-of-the-line Adams to have effective monitors, but the bottom end of the scale is pretty much the same as microscopes from a child's chemistry set being used in a med lab.
