ok, my signal chain is a behringer B1 into an ART MP V3 preamp and then into my yamaha 4ch minidisc mixer/recorder. basically i want to go all PC based. so, from what i've read i need a firewire interface to get the preamp signal into the PC right? then can i just send the recorded signal out my sound card in to the yamaha mixer and out to some moniters for mixing? i'm using sonor 4 for tracking and sound forge 8 for mixing. i also want to upgrade my gear too.

pre- ART MPA gold (any good?)
