I work from home for a tech call center. My walls in my house are very thing and you can hear people talk or whisper no matter where you are or where they are. You can basically hear everything in the house and everything outside. I've tried a blue yeti and a blue snowball microphone but those picked up many of those sounds. I did a bit of research and found the Shure SM7B microphone and it would be perfect for work, I watched some youtube videos and it picked up no sounds at all except for the persons voice. However I see that it needs a preamp that will provide 60db of gain. I'm new to all this and I just need the cheapest interface or preamp or whatever possible to use with this mic so it wont hiss like ive heard in some youtube vids. $350 for the mic is already expensive for me. All I need is to plug in this mic into my computer and thats all so whatever interface will provide 60db gain and plug through usb will be perfect. I dont need an interface with all those options and the ability to plug in instruments or other mics, etc. Just need to plug in the shure sm7b and thats it. Will greatly appreciate if someone can find this for me. Max I want to pay is $150 for what i need but will pay $250 if need be. Thanks!

I have seen the Apogee One (if you have a Mac) recommended. I know some who use the Mackie Onyx Blackjack, or Focusrite Scarlet 8i6. However, they play better with the CloudLifter CL-1 ($150). The CL can be used to give the 7B clean gain to add to a good quality, low gain, quiet interface.

There have been discussions about 7Bs and interfaces, on this forum, that you can search to find more recommendations.
