Yo. Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a bass player for many, many years, and I have studied all styles of music, from playing upright bass with orchestras, to participating in jazz bands and festivals, pop, rock etc. For the past few years however, I have been involved strictly with hip-hop. I live in the Atlanta area, so it hasn't been hard finding some tight MCs to jam with, and for the past two years I have been directing a hip-hop band backing up some fantatstic MCs. Anyhow, if you guys need some short bass loops (8-16 bars), I would be willing to help you out. I have fretted and fretless 5-string basses. Here is the deal: send me a sample of what you want the bass over, usually just a drum track. Let me know if you want a certain tempo, certain key, specific chord changes, etc, and describe specifically the feel you are looking for. Mood/Funk level etc. For example: 8-bar generic hip-hop beat, dark, ominous legato style. I will give out a few free samples, if you like them, and would like more, we can always discuss further. It won't necessarily be a quick process, as I work full-time, and play and record in the rest of my waking hours. Also specify if you need 16 or 24-bit samples. Limited time only.. Peace
