Need help with the E-MU 0404

Going to convert my pastors sermins from cassette to pc(mp3). I just bought a Yamaha Deck. What connections do i use on the card(0404)?
 
Just run the outs from the tape deck (L&R) into the analogue ins (the two 1/4" jacks marked In) on the 0404. Don't know what the jack setup on your deck is, you might need an adapter. Let us know if you can't figure it. The default setting on the Card's mixer will capture them, as long as the card is selcted as the input to your recording software. Come back if you need any more help.
 
I have it connected now.

Now, im getting the signal into Patchmix but it wont record anything under WaveTab. I beleive i have the recording software set to use the 0404 for recording and playback as my internal soundcard.
 
You have to insert a send. Send to WDM or send to ASIO, depending on the application.

This is what ive got the cassette deck hooked up to.

PCI Card in L
PCI Card in R

Both are showing signals in the Strips.

I'm figuring that when you say insert a send, you mean to click the send under that strip?

If this is so. How do I hear the recording if? its actually recording.
I have all my sound settings set for the 0404. None using the internal soundcard. Is this correct or do i need to have the sound playback set as the internal soundcard?

Im not worried about hearing it when it records atm. I can always hook a headset into the deck. Just need to hear and make sure that its actually been recorded afterward.
