I need you help. I am trying to send out a song as a sequence with a click track for the drummer (i.e. left channel is click and right channel is mono sequence for PA) The problem I have is that I am using 2 drumm sounds for click track and I have panned both of them individually all the way to the left (L7) and left tthe rest of the instruments (tracks 1-3 on center). When I plug in a mono cable for the right side feed I get a little bleedover from the click on the left spectrum. Can this be solved? Or is this unit not really meant to be used as a stand alone sequencer to be used with a real drummer? I would appreciate any help that you can offer.

Check to see if there are any effects on. If there is a stereo 'verb or delay or whatever........then you'll get some of the drum sound on both sides.

Thanks I'll check. is it the "decay" that you are refferiing to ?

I cant seem to find any effects listed in the manual for the DR-5

Cliff.....do you mean that you'll plug a mono cable in the right side feed and have no cable at all plugged into the left side? If so, that could be your problem. On my Roland keyboard I get bleedover between the sides unless I have cords plugged into both sides. So even if you're not using it at the moment...make sure you have cords in both left and right sides.

No EFX on the DR.5...

If it's panned all the way and still bleeding... I don't think there is a solution. Maybe you can turn the click track sound down to a lower volume. Then turn it up at the output device.

Other than that... Pan harder.

Yeah I tried both cables being plugged in, still bleedover, it is weird since i have the specific drum sounds both panned hard left, the only other thing I can try is to send a midi signal to my ROLAND TD-6 to see if that works, otherwise I guess I cant use this thing that way. Thanks for your help anyways.

I have one of the damned things and when I get a chance, I'll research that for you. The only thing is, I'm so busy between playing every night and tuning pianos every day ( Christmas is my busy season) that it might be a week or two before I get time. But you should be able to do what you want so it's almost certainly a matter of figuring it out. Watch for a PM from me in the next week or two and I bet I can find a way for ya'..............

That sounds great Lt. Thanks for your help. Until then I will keep experimenting.
