Is there anyone who's got the Q-10 up and running on windows XP??? Maybe you can walk me thru on how you got yours up and running? I would even send you a check in the snail mail for helping me. email weatherbilljam@aol.com

why don't you contact aardvark support. they're very responsive. but i think nobody's using aardvark cards with win2k or xp yet, because the beta drivers aren't really reliable yet.

have you seen this? it's from http://www.aardvark-pro.com/downloads.html...

IMPORTANT:
If a previous beta is already installed, you must:

Step 1. Delete ALL the previous files from the c:\aardvark directory or the directory into which the previous beta files were extracted.

Step 2. Find and delete the OEM*.INF file for Aardvark. (See the extracted c:\aardvark\README.TXT for instructions)

Step 3. Update the driver via the Device Manager.

Step 4. Reboot the PC if requested by Windows.

Failure to perform Step 1 will cause an incomplete installation on Windows XP Home Edition and the driver will not function. (Windows XP professional and all versions of Windows 2000 are not affected)

KNOWN ISSUES:
Please read the README.TXT file for KNOWN ISSUES after downloading and extracting these drivers:

------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION:

Run the downloaded makedisk2k5.exe file to extract the driver files into the c:\aardvark directory on your computer. Read the README.TXT file.
If you've installed a previous BETA driver for Windows 2000/XP already , the README.TXT file will contain instructions for upgrading to BETA 5 for Windows 2000/XP. Skip all the steps below.
Place the Aardvark sound card into your computer, attach the breakout box, and power on. UNPLUG THE COMPUTER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL YOUR AARDVARK HARDWARE!
Windows will recognize there is new hardware and will ask you for the location of the driver files, point it to the directory you just created (default is C:\AARDVARK).
NOTE: After the drivers copy, if Windows asks you to reboot, say 'No'
Run Setup.exe from the driver file directory and reboot.
This should complete the software installation. If the Aardvark card does not show up, go to StartMenu->Settings->Control Panel->Sounds and Multimedia->Hardware Tab and double click "Aardvark Professional Audio". In the new window click Reinstall Driver, follow the instructions to reinstall the driver and reboot.

I am using mine with XP PRo. Doesn't work in 24 bit, but works fairly well in 16 bit. Beta 5 Drivers.

someone posted a thread here saying he/she was using the beta drivers, and the computer kept crashing over and over again. don't know much about though, i'm sticking with win98 until the final version is out.
