Hello everyone. I recently bought the Lexicon Omega, and Im wondering how to get a good audio mix out of my equipment. I use a yamaha motif, mpc, and use a dell 1505 with sonar 6. I used to use my e-mu 0404, and when I used to record on that, the my mixes would sound good. But now, When i use the Omega, It seems like I lost some of that warmth, or sound that would sound natural when using the 0404. I like the omega because it has way more inputs, but does anyone have any tips on how to get a clean recording input sound from it? Heres my settings on my equipment:
1.) Lexicon's monitor mix is set at 12 o'clock, and output level set at 1 O' clock.
2.) All my line inputs are set at 1' O Clock.
3.) Im using the stereo outputs of my motif into lines inputs 3 & 4.
4.) Under the "monitor" buttuon for the inputs, I have them set on stereo.
5.) My motif level is set as high as it can go, and mpc level at 1'o clock with the inside db settings at -0 db(info the mpc users)
I have one more question also to ask as well. I like using cubase LE as well but is there any way I can link audio clips like in sonar? I tried to copy my audio and link it in Cubase but I keep hearing gaps in my song. In Sonar when I copy and link the audio, I dont hear any gaps.
