Hey everyone, i just bought this cool little box, and Im just starting to set it up.
I bought it so i could record vocals, bass, and guitar using Fruity Loops Drum tracks, and recording one track at a time, and it seemed to be the best solution that was avalable at the time, (since Musicians Friend screwed me over because im Canadain
).
But im having a few issues that I have to solve, not avalible in the manual. Im using Cool Edit Pro, and Acid Pro 5.0, But I wish to start using Sonar 4 for the majority.
1. Is there any way I can Record a Track using mono instead of stereo? Im plugging the Microphone into the Left input and of course its only coming out.
2. In Sonar 4 its giving me an Audio Driver Error message saying that my drivers do not support the current audio format, and yet it works fine in Acid Pro.
3. In the past i have experienced problems where the audio track is completely out of sync with the beat. I tried a Microphone check to the metronome in Acid Pro, and it is off by a slight, but noticeable amount to the critical ear. I can drop and drag it, but what fun is that?
4. How do I set it up so I Can use my computer speakers to hear all my computer sounds, and the monitering sounds. Right now everything is coming through the unit.
Any other tips for getting the best use out of this card would be great.
Specs: Windows XP, 512 ram, 2.0 ghz, 80 gig, c-Media Audio Card (CRAP!)
