Hello. I have the Edirol FA-101. I have a number of instruments that I want to record simultaneously. I see that the FA-101 has four (inputs 3-6) 1/4 inch balanced inputs on the back (see attachment). The inputs are listed as +4 dBu balanced inputs. I want to record electric guitars with these inputs (other inputs are in use). I tried running a signal from a Boss GT-8 pedal board with all the outputs turned up, but the level doesn't seem to be high enough to record with my DAW (Logic Studio). Can I use these inputs for this purpose? Should I use a direct box? How would this work without XLR connectors. I'm not sure what to do with these inputs! Thanks.
