Need help with Delta 44

I posted this in another section, but got no response.

I cannot get stereo sound out of my Delta 44. The M-Audio control panel shows output on both channels (Outputs 1 & 2). I don't have monitors, all I have is regular 2.1 computer speakers that use a 1/8 inch stereo jack. I have tried adapters and Y cables and still all I can get out of my computer speakers is left only mono.
I'm very confused. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

You probably used the wrong adapter. Easiest thing to do is bring the 1/8" stereo to a larger size like 1/4" stereo. Then use a y-adapter that breaks 1/4" stereo into 2 - 1/4" mono, these then into 1&2 on the Delta. Have a look at these links:

that's what i've got going right now, and nothin'.
the only possibility is that maybe this Y cable is two monos into a single mono (instead of two monos into stereo).
I know that the outs of the 44 are supposedly 1/4 inch TRS jacks. Can that have anything to do with it? Since i'm plugging a mono cable into a TRS jack. But how am I supposed to get stereo from 2 TRS jacks? that's four channels...
