I'm still deciding which card to go with, but not sure which one I need. Here's my situation... I play guitar, drums, bass and keys, so I will only need one in, right? I also have a band but we would record single tracks at a time. Which card should I get? Please respond!!

Faiber,

A lot will depend on what you plan on doing with it. Many will say your best bet is to go with Aark 24, other the hand others will push the Delta series. I, myself use a Delta 1010. I've had it a little over a month now and I'm still working the kinks out. Choose the 1010 because of its quality and did not want onboard mic pre's. Read through the treads, then decide what will work best for you. Good luck!

like lavoz said, it will depend on your needs....of the 4, the Delta 1010 has the best converters , imo.....

if you are recording real drums, youll probably want a card with at least 4 inputs....if you dont have a mixer, you may want to get a card with preamps.....

what is your budget and what gear do you have already as far as mics, preamps, mixers.....

Well, I don't think I'll need any pre's because I plan on running my guitar, bass and vocals out of my GX-700 guitar processor. It's worked on analog and digital recorders and have never had a problem. Plus I can also use the effects that are on there if I don't like the effects that the software has. I also have a set of Roland V-Drums and will probably end up screwing around with midi at some point. So which card do you think I could get the best results from?
