I have a fostex vf160 and need to save song data as a midi file. Please can anyone advise us on this matter. Thanks

Info you can use...
If you're expecting the Fostex to do audio to midi conversion and let you save the result, it doesn't do that. I don't know of anything that can do that job cheaply and effectively...
On the other hand, if you're just talking about backing up a file/session/project, you should be able to do that to the built in CD recorder. See the manual for further info.
