need help to record

hi, this is my first post! this is an amazing forum!

please forgive me if i'm posting this in the wrong group. i sort of sing and play guitar and was wondering if there is anyone in the maryland/dc area who has a small recording studio/equipment that could help me record about 5 songs. all the professional studios that i've found are over my budget. i don't really need super super crisp master recordings...just something plain and simple...2 tracks...one for my guitar and one for my voice...and enough mixing afterwards (but not much) to make sure that the guitar isn't too loud that it drowns out the voice (and vice versa)...

please PM me and let me know how much this will cost...or we can negotiate a price if nothing's set in stone...

Got a PC?

If so, you could probably spend 200-300 on a decent interface and mic to do jsut what you need.

If you really just want someone else to do it for ya, that's cool too - not everyone is into the home recording thing. I'd check craigslist under services to see if anyone has posted a home-studio type setup where you can pay em like 10-20 bucks an hour to record ya (usually what us amateur studio owners charge).

Otherwise, maybe check local papers in the classified sections to see if anyone has posted such services. Also try local music stores, they are chock full of "will record you cheap" posters... at least in my area
