Need help starting cubase sx

When i start it.It says
No Protection device connected.

What does this mean and how do i fix it?

That means that you have to have the USB dongle (that came with SX when you bought it) plugged into a USB port on the machine. No dongle, no Cubase.

You have to follow a certain procedure to get Windows to install the drivers for the dongle before starting Cubase, but that's all described with the documents that came with it when you bought Cubase.

We are discussing a legit copy and not a crack, I hope?
 
If it's a crack, it's obviously a shitty one. Otherwise there would not be an issue...
