So I went in to guitar center today looking at getting a good external hard drive to run my pro tools sessions off of. I wanted to get a Glyph GT but they didn't have any in stock so I picked up a Lacie d2 quadra instead... I quickly realized that was a huge huge mistake. That thing is a piece of crap pretty much. I figure I may order a Glyph GT 250gb but I wanted some feedback from other uses to see what you guys think I should get. I am running Pro-Tools M-Powered with on a 15 inch Macbook Pro with a Projectmix i/o. Let me know what you guys think would work the best. Thanks a lot

Digidesign recommends an external Firewire hard drive with an Oxford 911 chipset.

I got a USB + Firewire with Oxford 911 hard drive from http://www.otherworldcomputing.com. I haven't used it with Pro Tools, but I haven't had any problems using it for audio production. Keep in mind, it's a desktop drive, not rackmount like the Glyph drives.
