Hi. I just moved into a house with hardwwod floors and i notice a huge difference in the quality of my vocals. U ise to be in a pretty sound room before and had no problems with my vocals. Now i have a very bad echo. Im trying to figure out the best way to isolate my Mic without spending hundreds of dollar buildinga woodframe soundproof room to get my quality back. Anyone on here that has any good ideas or segestion please let me know im open to all possiblities right now. Im getting =ready to film a couple of videos and short films and i can not have this distraction in my vocal files. Thanks!!!!!!!

Hey Debo - as a quick fix, try throwing a rug down on the hardwood floors, and recording in the corner facing out. Any soft materials in the room will help dampen those echoes (curtains, furniature, etc), and you can also try hanging a soft material in the corner behind you.
This isn't the best way to truly treat a room, obviously - and it only helps with some parts of the problem, but it should reduce your unwanted echoes - and it's fast and cheap :)

I had the same prob. I built a 2 sided PVC frame that I wrapped in moving blankets. Like this>>> /\. Place the mic all the way back. $20

Good luck.
