Need help installing hardware in my PC

My new PC didn't come with a CD burner, just a play drive. I pulled the burner drive out of my old PC and want to install it & link the 2 so I can do disk to disk burning as well. Where do I start? I did manage to install a new sound card so I'm not totally clueless, just mostly! Do I need to go download the required drivers for this thing? What's involved here? Thanks
 
Nevermind gang. I hooked it up, and it turns out that it's plug-n-play. Sweet...
